About Us

Fairfax Futures mission is to ensure that our county's youngest children are well prepared to succeed in school and in life. Fairfax Futures was launched in June 2004 at the Early Learning Is Good Business Summit to raise awareness and build support for quality early childhood education and school readiness for Fairfax County's youngest children.
Through its School Readiness Network created in 2006 Fairfax Futures has partnered with Fairfax County's Office for Children, Fairfax County Public Schools, and more than 80 major companies, foundations, public agencies, community organizations and early childhood education programs to advocate the importance of school readiness as essential to the continued strength of our community.
Fairfax Future’s primary goal is to help create a sustainable and replicable model for a child’s success in school and life which starts by ensuring that the county’s youngest children enter kindergarten well prepared to learn, regardless of socio-economic status. In collaboration with partners across the county, we invest in early childhood education and school readiness by bringing attention and financial resources to sustain our region’s future.
