Equality of Educational Opportunity Begins in Preschool

US News weighs in on a topic garnering much media attention of late: the fact that upper middle income families spend far more on educational opportunities for their children compared to lower income families. This “education-based privilege” makes it difficult for children from less well off families to achieve upward socio-economic mobility.
